HIV/AIDS and Nutrition

The BLC's Nutrition Works program is one of the most utilized programs at the Center. A collaboration between the BLC and the American Red Cross of Massachusetts Bay, Nutrition Works provides free groceries and nutritional counseling to BLC members.

Jos Greene sat down with Amber Hansen, the new Nutrition Works coordinator, to learn more about HIV/AIDS and nutrition. You can read the full interview on our blog and learn more about Nutrition Works here.

VOLUNTEERS:

On August 2, 2010, we had a very special Monday Night Dinner guest, Lorraine Doherty, who is retiring from her volunteer service after over 20 years with the Boston Living Center. We were very pleased to be able to honor her during dinner and thank her for her many years of dedication to our programs and members. She is going to be truly missed.

Visit our Flickr page for images of Lorraine from August 2, and over the years.
